LSI Venue

The LSI CTEFL training and teaching practice take place in the centre of former West Berlin. We are just 3 minutes walking distance away from the the famous Kurfürstendamm with all its shops, restaurants and entertainments. The nearest U-Bahn Station is Uhlandstraße (U1) that connects the City West with Berlin Mitte, Kreuzberg and Prenzlauerberg. The school is in the neighborhood called Berlin-Wilmersdorf and with the beautiful Ludwig-Kirchplatz right outside the school this green and safe residential area represents urban living at its best.

The building itself dates from the early twenties and shows the typical flair of pre-war Berlin architecture with wooden floors and old tile ovens now under memorial protection. Our offices are divided into two parts with two large seminars rooms in the front as well as the main office, the computer room and the translations department. The actual TEFL school is located in the back part of the building and includes three classrooms, a preparation room with resources and a community room - our large kitchen. In the morning, these quiet rooms are filled with sunlight, and when drinking one’s coffee on the balcony overlooking the garden, it feels hard to believe to be in the middle of a thriving city. This dedicated area for teacher training, with enough space to spread out while preparing for classes, helps to create a comfortable and pleasant learning environment.

While doing your course here at LSI you can make full use of our office equipment. Our Prep room is equipped with a library, a photocopier, a laminating machine and all other materials and resources needed for teaching and learning how to teach. There are also three computer places available allowing access to the printer and the internet. Coffee and tea are provided, and you may use the kitchen for making sandwiches or eating your packed lunches.
